Michelle Hatchell, CFO/Business Manager

Michelle has over 16 years of professional business experience working for a number of Fortune 100 companies with a track record of achievement and major accomplishments.

Michelle is currently the CFO and co-owner of Over the Top Coaching. It’s an executive coaching and leadership development company focused on equipping mid-level managers of Fortune 500 companies with leadership skills. In this role, Michelle leads overall financial and accounting functions as well as customer service, data base management and business operations.  Clients include companies such as Pacific Gas & Electric, American Express, Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch and many others.

Hatchell cultivated her corporate and finance background working with such notable companies as Hartford Insurance Group, Ohio Casualty Insurance, Walt Disney World Company, Procter and Gamble, and Pepsico.

A few highlights of Michelle’s corporate accomplishments include working as an actuary in the property and casualty areas of the Hartford Insurance Group and Ohio Casualty. Michelle later transitioned from the actuarial field into corporate finance for Walt Disney World and Procter and Gamble where she led efforts to reduce costs and maximize business opportunities through analysis and forecasting. This provided Michelle with enhanced learning and promotion at P&G to become the Plant Finance Manager for their perfume manufacturing plant. In this strategic role, Michelle led efforts around accounting, purchasing, SAP integration and internal controls. After working with P&G for seven years, Michelle was recruited to become the Controller for Pepsico’s Gatorade manufacturing plant. Michelle led the accounting and finance functions and was effective in allowing this plant to be rated number one in their division.

This Howard University graduate with a major in actuarial science obtained her MBA from the University of Miami School of business with a 3.9 G.P.A. The University of Miami School of Business valued Michelle’s credentials and academic achievement s by providing her with a graduate assistant scholarship.

Michelle Hatchell has been married for 13 years to her college sweetheart Jeff.  She is the proud parent of 3 children.  A 7-year old daughter, Jenay; a 4-year old son, Justin; and a 2-year old daughter, McKayla.  Michelle is a natural athlete and enjoys playing tennis, basketball, golf and loves to exercise outdoors. She loves spending quality time with her children and is a board member of the Redwood Heights PTA. She is also active member and leader at World Conquerors Church in Oakland, CA.
